2 Chainz Paid a Family’s Rent for a Year, Chris Brown Bought Woman New Car: Hip Hop Charity

‘Tis the season for giving and two hip hop artists followed suite this weekend. 2 Chainz paid a family’s rent for a year and Chris Brown bought a woman new car.

The “Spend It” rapper stopped a family from being evicted by paying their rent for a year and even bought furniture for their home.

2 Chainz reflected on his own unfortunate past while saving the family from being homeless this holiday season: “I remember when we didn’t have hot water and I didn’t want my friends to know , so I told them it was something wrong with that bathroom and they couldn’t use my mommas, i remember using the oven to heat the house , I would stand in the kitchen for hours to stay warm . I remember waiting until the water co. Close at 5 ,so we could use a tool and turn the water back on until 6 am , I remember going to sleep hungry , i remember a long ass extension chord coming from the neighbors house to mine to borrow they’re lights ,I remember stealing cable , cars , clothes etc, no matter how much pain I endured I smiled on the outside , it was my defense mechanism. I remember”

Although Chris Brown doesn’t have the best reputation in the media when it comes to the ladies, that didn’t stop him from giving back this holiday season. The “Loyal” singer bought a woman a brand new car that just came out of a domestic violence situation:

I’ve been very fortunate and blessed with so much in my life and I always thought that it was supposed to be that way. I was selfish, arrogant, and cold hearted. I’m able to bless and inspire so many others and I realize that now. This woman has delt with domestic abuse through her life and her 3 wonderful children had to experience that. I see myself when I looked into their eyes. The amount of strength this woman has is remarkable. I hope I could make their Christmas a great one. I hope the kids love all the toys and things I got for them. And for moms. I hope I could put a smile on this family’s face.”

It’s great to see hip hop give back for the Christmas season!

Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran Split: Singer Apologizes for Instagram Rant

One of the most spoken about topics this past weekend was the messy break up between Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran that occurred on Instagram.

The two took turns taking shots at each other on social media Dec. 6, 2014. Karrueche Tran fueled the feud with an Instagram post about the demise of her relationship to Chris Brown.

“Once you find the strength within yourself, it’s hard to allow any type of bs around you. I refuse to be repeatedly mistreated especially by someone who claims to love me. That’s not love. And if that’s what you define as love then I don’t want it.”

Karrueche Tran fueled the feud with an Instagram post about the demise of her relationship to Chris Brown.

The “Loyal” singer responded with some low blows to his model (now) ex-girlfriend with allegations that Karrueche cheating on him with Drake.

Brown also announced the break-up at a concert in L.A. and said “Well , I’m single too, f%#k that b*%$ch.”

Although Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran split, the singer apologized for his Instagram rant. He also deleted the posts on social media.

“Being young and dumb is one of my strong suits and emotional at best. I love hard and react impulsively when I’m hurt at times. I don’t think social media is a place to air out or hash out personal problems and a n*gga feel hella WACK for doing it. So I AM APOLOGIZING I live in a glass house and the same shit that makes me great also is my curse. Everybody know I love that girl. I don’t care how my image my look to the public because I’m still gonna be the best at what I do. I just want baby girl to know I apologize!”

Chris Brown and Karrueche Tran split and singer apologized for his Instagram rant.
