When you think of hip hop, the veteran group Wu-Tang Clan has to come to mind. It’s been seven years since we’ve heard from them, but even longer since the height of their fame.
The Wu-Tang Clan’s new album, “A Better Tomorrow,” is set to release on Dec. 2, 2014. This is truly a breath of fresh air for the hip hop industry and is much needed.
Group member and producer RZA collaborated with Boombotix for a limited-edition version of the Clan’s new album and will be available on portable speaker platform.
RZA spoke to Billboard about the group’s new project:
“It’s a record to me that merges the way music was made in the classic essence, in an analog way. As well as merging what’s going down the digital way. All the entire 10 Clan members are on it. All the [living] members, which is a beautiful thing.”
One track in particular that resonates with ’90s hip hop is “Ruckus In B Minor,” which features an opening line from the late Ol’ Dirty Bastard.
